Pakistan Defeated India In A Crucial T20 World Cup Match
Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan scored record-breaking
half-centuries
In the biggest match of the ICC T20 World Cup being played in Dubai, the Pakistani bowlers did not allow the Indian batsmen to bat openly while bowling Napi Tali, due to which the Indian team lost 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. 151 runs scored.
On behalf of the national team, captain Babar Azam
and Mohammad Rizwan gave the team a confident 100-run start and also had the
honor of establishing a record opening partnership against India.
Babar Azam scored a half-century off 40 balls while
Mohammad Rizwan completed his half-century off 41 balls.
Earlier, national team captain Babar Azam won the
toss and invited India to bat. For India, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma started the
innings but Shaheen Afridi sent Rohit Sharma back to the pavilion in the first
over without opening his account and also bowled Rahul for just 3 runs in his
second over.
Virat Kohli teamed up with Surya Kumar Yadav to start
the scoreboard, but Mohammad Rizwan ended his innings with a brilliant catch by
Yadav, who scored 11 off Hassan Ali's ball.
Virat Kohli teamed up with Rishp Pont for a crucial
50-run stand off 38 balls, but Pont fell victim to Shadab Khan after scoring 39
off 30 balls. Ravindra Jadeja was dismissed for 13. Hardik Pandya scored only
11 runs.
Captain Virat Kohli showed responsibility and completed a half century off 45 balls but Shaheen sent him back to the pavilion for 57 runs. For Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi took three wickets, Hassan Ali two, Haris Rauf and Shadab Khan one.
